*Reigned from 1660-1685
*Reclaimed the throne of England in 1660, eleven years after his father
was beheaded.
*After the fall of Cromwell’s government, the popular support turned
toward Charles II. This, the Priory of
Sion and the Rosicrucians allowed for the time being.

*Charles II joined the Royal Society, which was formed the same year
he took power. The Royal Society,
being founded by Rosicrucians, one of whom was Robert
Boyle, Grand Master of the Priory of Sion at
the time, was in a perfect position to control Charles
II secretly. The death of King Charles I had turned
too many against the revolution, so this time Sion had
to wait it out and try to show the King to be
incompetant. The desired result was finally achieved 25
years later, and James II, brother of Charles II
ascended the throne in 1685. (bk-1,144)
