SUMMARY OF EVENTS: We’I've spoken with both Stephen and Nicole Terry by telephone several times over these past four days and have been in constant communication with his dad, Stephen Sr., also known as Pappy. Following is a summary of events from the last update on Friday at 10:30 pm to present (8:30pm eastern time) Friday night at 10:30 the "standoff’" ended when Steve and Nichole came out of the apartment after the swat team exploded two flash-bangs outside the building, and according to Nicole threatened to burn them out if they didn’It come out voluntarily. If that is true, it sounds as though they received a terrorist threat from law enforcement. A command post had been set up across the street from the apartment building in the Highspire Police Station, where Pappy was allowed to wait, although he was not allowed to communicate with Steve. At about 9:30pm he was told that he may as well go home "because nothing is going to happen"; in fact he says he was assured that "we will sit here for three days if necessary". Within the hour, the aggressive move was made to bring Steve and Nicole out. Both Steve and Nicole were originally taken to Harrisburg Hospital on Friday night. Nicole was asked to voluntarily commit herself for 72-hour psychological evaluation. When asked what would happen if she did not volunteer her captors informed her that they would commit her forcibly. That's akin to the "mandated volunteerism" being forced on school children today. She agreed to the volunteer part without the force and is confined at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Harrisburg. 717-763-2190 Stephen was held in "Emergency" at Harrisburg Hospital for the entire weekend, and moved Monday to the Poli-Clinic - also in Harrisburg. 717-782-4141 Even though neither of them had been officially charged with any crime Haldol, was administered to both orally. Then on Saturday they began injecting Steve with Haldol, Cogentin and Depracote. John Hammell sent an e-mail out with the hospital phone numbers, and I understand many, many calls were made on their behalf. I wish to acknowledge John for taking the initiative and all of you who have made calls. The Haldol was stopped Sunday night. By Monday evening the same lethal drug ‘"cocktail" injections were resumed (on Steve) and continue at this time. In conversation with him today, his voice is slurred, he constantly repeats questions and basically sounds like he s in a stupor. Today Nicole said she has been informed that she will be committed for an indefinite period and is on an anti-psychotic drug called Geodine? She is awaiting a "hearing" , facing five separate charges, only two of which she could recall: Terroristic threats and Criminal conspiracy. According to the psychiatric report she is "psychotic" and has "paranoid ideations of society" because she sent e-mails out in which she "defined words". Background: This affair began in January 1995, when Steve and (his former wife) Dawn's children were seized without notice by N. Cumberland County Child & Youth Services. After a year of stonewalled inquiries, a hearing was finally granted. The transcript discloses two reasons why the government abducted the children: (1) the Ames' "believed the Constitution to be relevant" and (2) posed "a danger to the children" by "reading the Bible without religious training." During the next three years, Steve exhausted every means of redress, including the state and federal courts, Sen. Spector's office, the Justice Dept. and the White House. In reversal of an earlier order the baby was returned to the parents while their eight year old daughter who had never been separated from her mother, was given into custody of the girl’is biological father. The event leading up to his initial arrest occurred after a message was left on Dawn's mother's answering machine by the daughter's biological father that Dawn and Steve’is children were going to be killed. The tape was taken to State Police where they were told there was nothing they could do because no harm had been done to anyone... it was 'just a threat'. (Dawn and Steve's dad confirm the existence of this taped message although I have not heard it) In frustration at the insanity of the bureaucratic ‘machine and the injustice rendered by the courts, Stephen shortly thereafter sent out a fax giving lawful notice that he would exercise his natural right to defend his family and in insinuation threatened back. Although the man who threatened their children was not even chastised by the police, Stephen, Dawn and their two small children were raided at night - Gestapo-style - including helicopters, men in flack jackets, jack boots and automatic weapons. Stephen was charged with a misdemeanor, although the charges were not formally signed by a judge. Bail was set at $250,000 although the bail order was unsigned. He was incarcerated for nine months, 4 months of which were served at the Forensic Mental Hospital in Pittsburgh where he was so heavily drugged he has only vague memories of being there. He has repeatedly mentioned a recollection of being "strapped in a chair with video cameras around him". Upon release, Stephen was given ten years probation restricting him to a 25-mile radius, 8pm curfew, prohibited from using a fax machine or internet e-mail, and ordered by the court to undergo constant psychiatric counseling as well as taking a lethal cocktail of drugs - Haldol, Luvox and Lithium - the combination of which causes irreversible brain-damage and over the long term can result in death. Steve was losing control of his bladder and his bowels; had become terribly paranoid, disoriented, had severe mood swings and was becoming agoraphobic. Friends and family were painfully aware of the rapid deterioration of both his physical and mental capacities. The third article of Amendment in the Bill of Rights states that: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. In Stephen’is case, all three of these prohibitions have been violated. Steve made a decision recently to stop willingly committing suicide by ingesting the court ordered drugs. For that reason, he had not reported to 'probation' which generated the notice on Wednesday ordering him to turn himself in within 72 hours (Friday 9-28-01, by 8am) or he would be arrested. He did not report which precipitated the evacuation of the apartment building, surrounding area and the Swat Team raid made him and Nicole political prisoners. Which brings us to the present. ============================ EFFECTS OF HALDOL: From: <http://www.ortho-mcneil.com/products/pi/pdfs/haldol.pdf> "WARNINGS "Tardive Dyskinesia--A syndrone comnsisting of potentially irreversible, involuntary dyskinetic movements may develop in patients treated with antipsychotic drugs. WARNING: SPECIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ADVERSE EFFECTS Mental Effects: confusion, delirium, short-term memory problems, disorientation, and impaired attention. ----------------- From: http://dt.pdr.net/dt/medec-pstoc.htm "Beware of these potentially risky drugs: They're linked to sudden death "[Haldol is among some 50] ...drugs that prolong the QT interval, producing a cardiac disorder that can lead to torsade de pointes (arrhythmia), syncope (loss of consciousness), and sudden death. "Unfortunately, incidents like these are increasing, as are the number of lawsuits being filed against physicians for prescribing, and pharmacists for dispensing, these seemingly innocuous drugs that can produce a fatal effect in a small minority of patients. To alert health professionals to the dangers of drugs that can cause the Long QT Syndrome (LQTS), the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS) Foundation sponsored a seminar for the press in New York City last month." -------------------------------------------- Worldwide, Haloperidol (which was commissioned by Adolph Hitler in 1933) in combination with lithium (which blocks excretion of Haloperidol) is the most feared of all tortures. Diabolically, a sane person can withstand only about 1 /1000 the dose that a true psychotic can. Administration of Haloperidol to a person known to be sane is attempted murder. They have it down to a science. Once akithisia sets in., the victim will die (horribly) in about 10 days. After the 5th day it is considered irreversible and the victim is released. When he dies or commits suicide, the state contends he should have stayed in the "hospital" where he was "safe". -- Kenneth B Thomas -- ============================ The Sierra Times had posted an article on 9-30-01 regarding the incident of Friday and the eventual apprehension of Stephen and Nicole. There were many erroneous statements and some very damaging to both of them. If you will scroll down, I'll make corrections where indicated in maroon so you will have an accurate account of what took place Friday afternoon and evening during the siege and afterward. If all the errors and mis-statements in this alleged report is a representation of the 'reporting' from Sierra Times.... it would be wise to take with a grain of salt what you read from that publication, published by J. J. Johnson, et al. ========================================== High Tech Weaponry Used in PA Standoff (Steven Ames now in custody) By Kate Kline for Sierra Times.com 09.30.01 But Dauphin County District Attorney Edward M. Marsico Jr. said Ames was on probation for charges relating to making terrorist threats. The alleged threat: He said he was going to blow up the place if police entered his home. (This entire statement is skewed. How could Ames have been on probation for something he had not yet done?) Ames has reported he had a 5 gallon gas tank filled, and wired to blow. Marsico confirmed there was gasoline in the apartment. (Ames did NOT report anything 'wired to blow'. According to Stephen, when the Swat Team came and attempted to enter the apartment, he told them to back off or he would "pour gasoline down the stairs".) Thus, the neighborhood was evacuated. This started at about 2:30 local time, which followed by SWAT teams, local police (The Dauphin County Crises Response Team) and Federal Marshals for assistance. According to witnesses, the police knew emails were being sent from the home. The line became busy when police began negotiations with Steven and Nicole inside the apartment. (No, the line was busy before they stared negotiations. Steven was on the phone with J. Patru during the time the evacuation was taking place. The police called up and told him to clear the line, which he did, immediately) Jodie Slominski, 43, who lives in the apartment across from Ames, spoke with Sierra Times and stated that she and her mother were evacuated around 3 p.m. -- taken out of a second-story window by a bucket truck. She also confirmed that two snipers came to her apartment and positioned themselves at her second-story window before she left her apartment. Both Steve and Nicole were on parole. (Nicole is NOT on parole) At 9:30 p.m., night turned into day. A loud bang and bright light went off in the area. "It's a credit to SWAT team members and negotiators," Marsico said. "They held their ground." |
